About The Six Million Dollar Man season one:

Digitally re-mastered and restored The Six Million Dollar Man: Season 1 is now available on DVD.

The Six Million Dollar Man is a multiple Emmy© and Golden Globe© nominated TV series. It was originally broadcast on BBC TV in the late 70’s into the early 80’s. In it’s day this was the biggest show on television. It featured guest appearances from Farrah Fawcett, Britt Ekland and William Shatner.

Based on Martin Caidin's 1972 novel Cyborg, with a few minor changes, The Six Million Dollar Man was first broadcast as a made-for-TV movie in the mid 70s. Caidin had been a NASA public relations man and Air Force pilot and based the character of Steve Austin on astronauts David Scott And Eugene Cernan (Commanders of Apollo 15 & 17 respectively).

When Colonel Steve Austin (Lee Majors) barely survives the devastating crash of an experimental NASA aircraft, his shattered body is rebuilt using bionics, a secret new medical technology developed for the U.S. government by Dr. Rudy Wells. Outfitted with atomic-powered bionic legs, an arm, and an eye, Austin is now "better, stronger, faster" than he was before. Austin's enhanced abilities are put to the test as he is sent on dangerous and covert missions for the government's OSI division, under the supervision of director Oscar Goldman (Richard Anderson).

Season one finds Steve Austin facing a never-ending stream of assassins, kidnappers, diabolical scientists, nuclear threats, and even a powerful robot-double of one of his best friends.

Guest Appearances: Season 1: Britt Ekland (The Man with Golden Gun), John Saxon (Enter the Dragon), Greg Morris (TV Series Mission: Impossible), Gary Lockwood (2001: A Space Odyssey), Farrah Fawcett (Charlie’s Angels), William Shatner (Star Trek).

Farrah Fawcett makes guest appearances in both Season 1 and Season 2 of The Six Million Dollar Man as two different characters. In Season 1’s ‘Rescue of Athena One’ Fawcett plays Major Kelly Wood, America’s first female astronaut who Steve Austin is assigned to train. In Season 2’s ‘The Peeping Blonde’ Fawcett plays television reporter Victoria Webster who captures Steve Austin using his bionic powers on film.

Extras: Season 1: All 3 Pilot movies, full-colour booklet with still. Bonus features include Real Bionics featurette, an Iconic Opening featurette, Season 1 VIPS: A Celebration of "The Six Million Dollar Man" Guest Stars, Interactive Bonus Feature: Bionic Breakdown (clips that illustrate facets of the bionics), OSI Mission Debriefing: Executive Producer Harve Bennett, Bionic Gallery.

For your chance to win, correctly answer the following question:
If it wasn't for Steve Austen the world would probably never have seen the Terminator. What was the name of the last Terminator film?
Best of luck.
